Hi Everyone,

Welcome 2025! What a stressful end to 2024 with the election and all the negativity that came with it. Music is the only constant that has helped to keep our heads in a positive space. We have been scheduled to play at one of our favorite venues - Georgetown Winery in Georgetown. We're also picking up some gigs west of town at Horseshoe Bay and at the Embassy Suites Bar Louie in Round Rock . Check our Schedule page for upcoming shows.

 

Some other news - Chris has been playing with The Southern Tropics Band who features Island style music with some traditional and progressive island and Hawaiian style songs. Band members David Jennings on vocals and guitar, Don Jennings on vocals and bass, Mel Orillo on vocals and ukulele, and John Hernandez on percussion. The vocals harmonize beautifully. I provide rhythm/ lead guitar and some vocals. Listen to my latest original island style song, "Love in the Ko'olaus" accompanied by Southern Tropics Band. (Ko'olaus are the mountains on Oahu that separate the Windward and Leeward sides of the island)

Karen had some big changes in her musical journey in 2024. The long-time band, "Cowboy Nemo" has officially retired after 20+ years of playing in central Texas. Karen has been playing with the band for the last 10 years as the percussionist and vocalist. They were an absolute fun band and will truly be missed. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But with the closing of a door, a window opens. Karen is now involved in a new project called "The Best of..." featuring songs of harmonic bands such as Peter, Paul and Mary / Crosby, Stills and Nash / Simon and Garfunkel and others. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Dave Ervin, guitarist and vocalist Jody Barry, and percussionist and  vocalist Karen Hunt. Check out the new website - The Best of Band.com
